WHAT A NIGHT OF FIGHTS! Gladiator Challenge (World Class)

This was an outstanding night of fights. A lot of new names making a mark in the new Gladiator  cage. With a very large crowd at Thunder Valley Casino these fights were no joke, from Rookies to veterans. Some fights were changed day of fights. The Main Event was a 3 five minute round fight in a very big rematch which lived up to the hype. Caused a lot of confusion as we thought this would be a 5 round fight. I did not think this was a rematch of the century until last night! The Main Event was a very good fight!

Fight of the Night! Marcus Gaines vs Chris Sheridan  , Scott "Hands of steel" Smith (Special Referee)
This fight was crazy! Chris Sheridan came out to the cage looking ready! Gaines pumped coming out to the cage with the belt. As Gaines came in to the cage and circled inside the cage Sheridan did a shoulder bump on him before the fight! Bam here we go they almost throw before the bell rings. Very shocking and made the crowd boo Gaines. Don't know why but we seen the fan favorite in this one!
These two are now ready. The bell rings and they go at it. Gaines trying to land something huge they go toe to toe and Sheridan trying to press the action against the cage! Gaines looking more quick and ready then the first time they squared away. Gaines throwing back . Very close 1st round. 2nd round Sheridan doesn't want to trade with Gaines and gets Gaines to the ground and is able to get his back. Gaines defends the rear naked choke most of the 5 minute round even on his back at one point landing the better strikes from his back. The final round. Its all Gaines.. striking and taking Sheridan down now and landing some devastating elbows and punches, This is like a 10-8 round for Gaines. No horn , the round comes to a end and Sheridan and Gaines still throwing. Gaines landed one more nice punch before Scott stepped in.. The fight goes to the Judges. They have it a Unanimous decision and new Gladiator middleweight Champion Chris Sheridan. What a shocker. This was fight of the night by far.. These two have to go at it again but that wont be for awhile as Scott Smith announced hes fighting Sheridan for the strap now.

Submission of the night!
Charlie Huston vs Kyle Davey
Charlie Huston was able to make quick work in this one and get the arm bar dislocating Kyle Davey's arm as most thought it was broken.Charlie Huston gets Submission of the night!

Super fight of the Night!
Mike "Coach" Rumsey vs Angelo Anthony
Mike's opponent was changed on him four times before he was able to relax some before his fight.
Angelo Comes to the cage looking ready for the Super fight Featherweight Championship. "Coach" Rumsey looking lean and mean and ready to attack comes into the cage ready to do work against a tough guy. They collide in the middle of the cage and for 20 seconds feel each other out Rumsey shoots in a little early for the take down but able to still grab and take Angelo down. they Scrap a little on the ground Angelo getting a choke on Rumsey but he is able to get out of it and land some punches and knees.. Rumsey goes in for the Rear Naked Choke and sinks it in at 2:28 in the very first round! And new!!! Super fight Featherweight Champion Mike "Coach" Rumsey. Rumsey looked outstanding and he did look like a pro in there! What a great night of fights. You think Rumsey is done? NO! he is going out with one more fight at 135 lbs! Do not miss this! He brings another belt to Team Carnage. Carnage for the night goes Undefeated!

Another great fight was
Poppies Martinez vs Ray Doxie

Poppies was called up to fight and came in at 155 as his opponent was 175. Poppies was a warrior from the beginning. Very good first round for both fighters. The second round was all Poppies and he landed some devastating elbows That caused the ref to step in and have the doctor take a look. Doctor stops it at 1:53 in the 2nd round.

Also in action Drew Montgomery who looked very good again in his fight. He wins Tko in the 1st round with a standing elbow at 2:18 in the first round.
