It is time again to formally announce that the 6th Annual Charles Gracie Invitational Jiu-Jitsu Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, October 26th. The competition will be held in Lathrop, California, at the Main Gym of Lathrop High School located at 647 Spartan Way, Lathrop, California 95330. The date is certain and all the students from the Charles Gracie Network should begin preparing for the event.
This will be another great opportunity for my entire Network (students and affiliated schools) to celebrate our year working and learning together. Last year the Tournament was a big success thanks to all students who participated, instructors and the volunteers who helped make it a success.
My main objective for this year is to have every student, from every academy participate in this special once a year celebration. From the newest beginner to the most accomplished practitioner, I want to see everyone participating in this special event. It is important to remember that the invitational tournament is not just an average competition; it is a way for us to test our skills against different people, learn what we can do differently to improve, but most importantly to celebrate the continued growth and progress of our Jiu-Jitsu family! The competitive environment is not to take away from this most important aspect of the celebration.
It is with the above in consideration that I ask all of you to make every effort to participate or to have your children participate in this once a year celebration. Please join us for another unforgettable day with good friends and family celebrating yet another great year of Jiu-Jitsu!
All schools will have the Tournament Package with all the information and the “Registration Forms” by this Monday, September 16th. “We “DO NOT” have registrations On-Line”
