KSW Federation heats up the atmosphere before the
September’s KSW 24 show, announcing two title fights featured on the
star-studded fight card.
Karol Bedorf vs. Paweł Nastula
Karol Bedorf and Paweł Nastula will lock horns in the battle
for the inaugural KSW heavyweight championship. This monumental clash will go
down in history of the organization led by Martin Lewandowski and Maciej
Kawulski.
Bedorf has been waiting for this opportunity since 2009,
when he decided to go up from light heavyweight. Since then, the popular “Coco”
has fought five times for KSW, including valuable victories over KSW tournament
champion David Oliva and UFC vet Oli Thompson.
Nastula made his KSW debut this Spring, when he needed only
three minutes to submit the American Kevin Asplund. The 1996 judo Olympic
Champion has nine professional MMA bouts under his belt and is the only Pole,
who fought for the now defunct, legendary Pride organization.
Maciej Jewtuszko vs. Andre Winner
In the second championship bout on the KSW 24 card Maciej
Jewtuszko will defend his lightweight strap against the former UFC fighter
Andre Winner in the three 5-minute affair with a possible 5-minute extra time.
It will be “Irokez’s” first defense of the title he won in
December 2012, when he defeated Artur Sowinski at KSW 21 in Warsaw. Since
signing with KSW, Jewtuszko has fought three times for the Polish promotion,
collecting two stoppage victories. His KSW 24 outing, will be his thirteen
professional MMA fight. – I would like to disenchant Łódź, as I suffered the
defeat to “Kornik” there. As for the thirteenth fight, I’m not superstitious. I
go out and do everything in my power to retain the belt – Maciek promises.
